Rotary Club Almaty will be immortalized by a park of 10,000 trees in the Chinese province of Qinghai!
Great news friends!
In honor of The Rotary Club of Almaty 2021-2022, at the initiative of Rotary International districts in Shanghai and Hong Kong, planting of 10,000 trees has begun on the desert hills of the world's highest Tibetan Plateau in Qinghai Province.
This is an unprecedented event in the history of the post-Soviet space of Rotary, which marks the recognition of the role of Kazakhstani Rotarianism at the global level.
For the entire team of the Club and all those involved in Rotary humanitarian and charitable activities, this is a great honor and a new level of responsibility for the development of culture, the strengthening of friendship and mutual understanding in the country and the world and a new milestone in the history of Rotary.
It is very symbolic that the local actions of our club lead to multiplicative effects to improve the global ecosystem. A huge oasis will appear in the centuries-old desert, which will reduce the number of desert storms, give a powerful impetus to the development of the infrastructure of the Tibetan region, revered in the world as a spiritual center.
