Our meeting on October 6, 2022 was held jointly with the Department of Youth Policy of the Almaty City Akimat. UMP was represented by Kairzhan Mendigaliyev (head) and Dinara Sapakova (press secretary).
The issues of revival in Almaty of the youth wing of Rotary - the Rotaract Club in the format of a multifunctional youth center were discussed.
We presented to our partners a detailed presentation of the Rotaract youth movement and the results of its work in Almaty over the past years.
Kairjan, in turn, spoke in detail about the history and activities of the department headed by him, its priorities and prospects.
We have come to a common understanding of youth policy in Almaty and the possibilities of interaction between the Akimat and Rotary in supporting youth projects.
The key agreement is to create an Almaty multifunctional Rotaract center for students and working youth. Its location will be the youth coworking center Depo Evolution Park.
Rotaract will open to active and gifted young Almaty residents from 18 to 35 years old wide opportunities for civic participation, education in the top universities of the world on Rotary International scholarships, familiarization with patronage, charity and global networking of professionals of the major leagues.
In a word, we will create a powerful social elevator for young people through joint efforts.
Cooperation between the RCA and the UMP will be supported by a corresponding strategic memorandum.
