On September 2, 2020, our Club officially donated an ambulance to the residents of the Talgar district of the Almaty region. The social project, which was attended by Rotarians from Almaty, fellow partners from six Rotary Clubs in South Korea, Rotary District 3662, as well as the International Rotary Foundation, began in 2019.
Then it was decided to unite their efforts and help the Talgar Central District Hospital, since as a result of the study it turned out that they have an acute issue of a shortage of ambulances. Only 6 machines worked on the basis of the hospital.
The seventh, new car, in addition to the basic one, is equipped with additional resuscitation medical equipment - an electrocardiograph, a defibrillator-monitor, an inhaler "Super Eco", special frameless stretcher "Cloak" and much more.
This social project is not limited to the transfer of the car. Within the framework of the program "While the Ambulance Is Traveling", it is planned to train residents of the district in providing first aid before the arrival of the medical team. The program is implemented by the Healthy Lifestyle Department of the Talgar Hospital and is designed to teach people life skills. For these purposes, rotarians purchased a special simulator - T2 "Maxim III".
The official ceremony of handing over the ambulance was attended by doctors and medical staff of the Talgar Central District Hospital headed by Director Nurlan Kulseitov, Deputy Akim of Talgar District Akhmet Ashimakhun, representatives of the media and the Rotary Club of Almaty.
The Rotary Almaty Club turned 25 this year.
I am glad that it was marked by a project that will save many human lives.
Because at all times and in all countries there is nothing more important.
