On September 2, 2020, our Club has officially donated an Ambulance to the residents of Talgar district of Almaty region. The social project, which was established by Almaty Rotarians and our colleagues from six Rotary Clubs in South Korea, Rotary District 3662, as well as the Rotary Foundation, has been started in 2019.
That time a mutual decision was made to help Talgar Central district hospital, as a result of the study, which turned out that there is a lack of ambulances in the region. Only 6 cars were operating at the hospital.
The new seventh car is equipped with an additional resuscitation medical equipment — an electrocardiograph, a defibrillator monitor, a Super Eco inhaler, special frameless stretcher "Raincoat" and many others.
This social project is not only limited to the transfer of a vehicle. As part of the" While the ambulance goes " program, it is planned to train residents of the Talgar district to provide first aid before the arrival of the medical team. The program is implemented by the "Healthy Lifestyle" Department of Talgar hospital and is designed to teach people vital skills. For these purposes, the Rotarians have purchased a special simulator — Maxim III T2 simulator.
The official Ambulance handover ceremony was attended by doctors and medical staff of the Talgar Central district hospital headed by Director Nurlan Kulseitov, Deputy Akim of the Talgar district Akhmet Ashimakhun, representatives of the media and the Rotary Club of Almaty.
We thank all the project participants and our partners:
